Everyday Chocolate May 29, 2012 by bbfadmin We think every day is a perfect day for chocolate, and when it’s packed with good stuff–cacao beans are the single greatest source of antioxidants of any raw food–you should have a piece every day! We found this recipe in Bali, Indonesia, where the ingredients are fresh and all-natural. Fun to make with children or those young-at-heart! Everyday Chocolate Ingredients: 1 c. ground cacao beans (we brought our beans back from Bali, but you can also find them at nuts.com) 1/2 c almond butter 1 Tbs. tahini pinch of salt 4 tsp. honey (children might want more sweetness) 2-3 Tbs. virgin coconut oil We ground our cacao beans in a small hand-held coffee grinder. Mix all ingredients in a bowl, then spread evenly into a small pan or glass container and refrigerate. Cut into small squares and enjoy. These mighty little squares pack a healthy punch of protein and antioxidants…perfect after a workout or as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up!
