Mixed Fresh Berry Sorbet with HoneyJuly 18, 2013 by bbfadminWhile in France, Brigitte, our host crafted the most delicious sorbets for us–melon and strawberry–using the freshest of fruits. Inspired by Brigitte and the current heat wave, I just blended up a batch of Berry Sorbet. For two quarts: 1.5 cups of fresh berries (I used strawberries and blueberries), 1 cup of sugar (the recipe called for 1.5 cups, but I wanted to experiment with some honey), 1/4 cup of honey blended with 4 cups of water, and the juice from one lemon. I mixed the berries with the sugar and lemon, refrigerated for two hours, then added the berries and the water/honey mixture to a 2-quart ice cream maker. Half an hour later, Voila!
